Midland Newcomers Club has partnered with North Midland Family Center to create “Share the Memories” a program designed to help Midland County high school girls who cannot attend prom due to cost of a dress. 

2009 was our inaugural year and it was a huge success! We gave away 100 dresses to girls form 13 different area high schools. Distribution of the dresses this year took place March 19-22, 2009 at the Midland Community Center. We also had a raffle for prom-related giveaways like manicures, hairdos, flowers and dinners.

This project, housed by the North Midland Family Center, is made possible by a grant from the Midland Area Community Foundation. The Midland Area Community Foundation promotes and enables philanthropic giving to enrich and improve the lives of people in our communities.

Dates for the 2010 collection and distribution are not set yet, but look for us in early spring!
